Participated in a panel discussion on Connecting the Unconnected, - held at the 53rd Annual Convention of Computer Society of India at KIIT on January 18, 2020. The theme of the convention was Digital Democracy - IT for Change. The address highlighted the cases of the depravity of the right information even when the individual is connected to the Internet.

In the illustration, the universal set represents the world population and the white space pertains to the segment who are not connected to the Internet. However, there is only a small portion of the population who can truly be called connected. This is because remaining cannot access the Internet (due to a ban by the government or cannot remember the access details to their accounts) or are trapped by the algorithmic choices offered to them.
